What is a crown?
A crown is a restoration
that caps a tooth to shape it to a normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth. They are used to fix large cavities, hold a broken tooth together, attach a bridge and to protect or restore badly damaged teeth to help give you a beautiful smile.
Older crowns generally have a visible dark line at the gum line of the crowns, caused by the metal in Porcelein fused metal (PFM) crowns. And, they required more than one visit to the dentist.
Today, most cosmetic dentists use all porcelain crowns. And now,
Baumrind, Baumrind & Jain can restore damaged teeth with natural looking crowns, inlays and onlays in just one visit with CEREC, one-visit, all-porcelain crowns.
How does CEREC® work?
Using an Intraoral camera, Baumrind, Baumrind & Jain uses CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology to create a virtual impression which is then
milled on site. You dentist then bonds the crown to your teeth.
No need for temporary solutions or multiple visits with CEREC One-visit Porcelain crowns. Now that's reason to smile.
